MedStar Montgomery Medical Center Emergency Department Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) Flex Renovation

Project Description: This project was completed in two phases within the active Emergency Department. Phase 1A involved the renovation of the existing Emergency Department to create five new behavioral health suites, along with upgrades to the nurses’ station and storage rooms. Phase 1B included a refresh of the adjacent wing of the ED, encompassing four treatment rooms. Work consisted of replacing flooring, ceilings, light fixtures, air devices, receptacle faceplates, and wall protection/accessories, while maintaining existing wall layouts, duct mains, and electrical rough-ins. ​All work was completed while the hospital remained fully occupied and operational.
