City of Baltimore C. C. Jackson Recreation Center

Transformation of the 35,600 SF space to provide a new gymnasium, two-story entrance, stair- and elevator-tower, large curtain wall, and bright, new interiors. The project involved raising the building’s roof and installing new structural steel and footers in order to add a second basketball court and bleachers to the gymnasium. We also completed extensive site work, including installation of a new parking lot, landscaping, ponds and lighting around a sports field.

The project involved coordinating multiple construction types – including masonry, structural steel and curtain wall- while also avoiding disrupting operations in an attached job-training center.
