706 + 712 Giddings Avenue

After stripping a three-story office building down to its structural steel and foundation, Plano-Coudon completed a renovation that added a fourth story, expanded usable space from 10,000 SF to 16,200 SF, built out a new lobby that included two stair towers and an elevator, and completed site improvements that included site utilities, bio-swales and a pervious-asphalt parking area. Plano-Coudon replaced the building’s EIFS and masonry facade with an air barrier/rain screen system that included Parklex composite wood and Swisspearl cementitious panels. This project won the 2018 CMAA Baltimore Project Under $10 Million Award, the 2018 AIA Chesapeake Bay Excellence in Design Award and the 2018 AIA Baltimore Excellence in Design Award.
