The Plano-Coudon Experience
Within weeks of graduating from college and starting work at Plano-Coudon, project engineer Bridgette Miller plunged into a $24 million project. For the next two years, Miller worked hand-in-hand with experienced project managers and superintendents, renovating 16 student apartment buildings while mastering skills essential to bringing a complex construction project to a successful conclusion.
It’s those kind of exciting opportunities that we present to our employees at Plano-Coudon.
A construction company with an engineer’s mindset, we relish the challenges of tackling varied and complex projects. And we relish the process of hiring great people and helping them thrive.
We believe in hiring smart, skilled people — from industry veterans to new college graduates — who are game to tackle challenges, eager to learn, and motivated to advance their careers. In our open-door, team-based, positive environment, we help employees build skills in their daily work and through professional development programs.
We are not micro managers. We give proven professionals the freedom — and the responsibility — to use their expertise and their judgment to determine the best way to produce great results on any given job.
We expect high-quality work and top-notch customer service from all of our employees, who realize that construction jobs don’t always fit neatly into a 40-hour work week.
But we believe the professionalism, expertise, sheer effort and good will that Plano-Coudon employees pour into their work is beyond worthwhile.
At Plano-Coudon, we don’t just provide competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits to employees.
We involve employees in an ownership culture. We provide broad information about the company’s strategic plan, near-term goals, performance, challenges and opportunities. We give employees opportunities to drive company growth and opportunities to grow their careers inside the company.
At Plano-Coudon, we have a lot of fun.
It may have something to do with the fact that our founders once planned to open a bar or a pool hall. But this is a company that likes to socialize. Whether it’s a Friday afternoon happy hour, matches at the company ping pong table, relaxing in the Plano-Coudon lounge or going out to company parties, we believe life is too short — and work days are too long — to pass by without a dose of fun.
