Plano-Coudon Participates in UW 2014 Day of Action

As part of the company’s continued community involvement, members of the Plano-Coudon Construction team spent October 15 volunteering in classrooms, unpacking toys and building a kids’ parking garage at PACT – Parents and Children Together.

The volunteer effort was part of the United Way of Central Maryland’s Day of Action – a call to volunteers throughout Maryland to participate in a wide variety of activities to support non-profit organizations.

Plano-Coudon employees volunteered their time with PACT, an affiliate of the Kennedy Krieger Institute that helps children with special needs. PACT promotes the development of young children with special needs and assists their families through programs that provide comprehensive assessments, early intervention services, family support services, parent education, counseling and specialized childcare.

During their time at PACT, Plano-Coudon volunteers spent time with the children in their classrooms and helped with the Stainman Toy Lending Library project by unpacking, photographing and organizing new toys. Using our expertise in construction, Plano-Coudon team members also installed new shelves and constructed a parking garage for the fleet of Little Tikes Cozy Coupes for the kids.

The Day of Action was one of the days throughout the year when Plano-Coudon gives back while having fun.
